Started in 2000, Sci-Tec has received a number
of federal research awards
for the development of products and technologies for
molecular analysis and
medical diagnosis. The
main R&D efforts are focused
on developing new
technologies for DNA,
RNA and microRNA analysis using microarrays with no modification of target
molecules and bioluminescent assay
for monitoring RNA
and DNA replication in real
time. Sci-Tec is located in
close proximity to Oak Ridge
National Laboratory (ORNL) and with scientists from these world class research centers.
