AuroGene™
microarray scanner is a high performance flatbed scanner modified for capturing
low-noise analytical quality images of microarrays with up to 30,000 spots on
a standard 1”x3” glass slide. The scanner is provided with AuroGene™
software, which includes a set of utilities for controlling image
acquisition and automated processing multiple slides with individually set
capturing parameters, post-capturing
image enhancing, and quantification of array
spots. The software measures thirteen parameters for each array spot,
including integral and peak intensity, local background, spot size, ellipticity
(shape), and alignment on a microarray grid. These parameters are used to flag-out
outlier spots, and allow to achieve higher accuracy of microarray
measurements.
